TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Carrick Felix scored 15 points, including a dunk with 47 seconds to play and a pair of critical free throws with 11.7 seconds remaining, and Arizona State held off Utah 57-52 on Thursday night, sending the Utes to their fifth straight loss and 11th in 12 games.

Their lone victory in that span was a 64-43 rout of Arizona State in Salt Lake City on Jan. 21. Trent Lockett had 12 points in his first game back after missing six games with a sprained right ankle. The Sun Devils had gone 1-5 in Lockett's absence.

Chris Hines was the only player in double figures for Utah (5-19, 2-10) with 10 points, but he made just 3 of 15 shots. Overall, the Utes shot 30 percent and had to heat up at the end to even reach that paltry figure.

Arizona State's Jordan Bachynski had 11 points and 12 rebounds for his first career double-double.

The Sun Devils led throughout after an early 15-0 run and were up 23-18 at the break.

A 10-2 run, including a 3-pointer by Lockett, was capped by Jonathan Gilling's 3-pointer that put Arizona State up 45-31 with 7:28 remaining.

But the Utes, horrendous from 3-point distance for most of the game, suddenly started draining them.

Hines and Dijon Farr each sank one in a 10-3 run that cut it to 48-44 with 1:47 to go. Arizona State stretched it to 52-46 on Lockett's two free throws with 1:29 left. But Kareem Storey's 3-pointer with 47 seconds to play cut it to 54-52. Lockett missed a jumper under duress, but Felix got the rebound, was fouled and made both free throws to make it 56-52 with 11 seconds remaining.

Utah made 7 of 30 3-pointers, staying in the game thanks largely to Arizona State's 20 turnovers.

In the first half, the Utes shot 21 percent (5 for 22), including 2 of 12 on 3-pointers. The Sun Devils were at 42 percent (8 of 19), but made just 1 of 7 3s and committed 12 first-half turnovers, to Utah's five.

The game featured statistics befitting teams in 10th and 11th place in the conference.

Utah next plays at Arizona Saturday at noon.
