Woman Rescued By Chopper After Ice Climbing Accident

PROVO (ABC 4 News) - Utah County search and rescue workers retrieved a woman from Provo Canyon Wednesday morning, who was seriously injured in an ice climbing accident, officials said.

The woman was climbing in the Bridal Veil Falls area (MAP) with another individual when she reportedly fell 30 feet. A medical helicopter landed in the area after 10 a.m. and transported her to the hospital. Her exact condition was not immediately known.

Conditions in Provo Canyon on Wednesday were cloudy and cold.
