Utah man sentenced for rape of saleswoman

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A Utah man has been sentenced to five years to life in prison after pleading guilty to raping a traveling knife saleswoman.

Authorities say 25-year-old Philip Doe plied the 18-year-old woman with vodka and then raped her during a sales visit in July.

The South Salt Lake man pleaded guilty to furnishing a minor with alcohol and first-degree rape in a December plea deal that dropped a third charge of aggravated kidnapping.

Doe was sentenced Monday in 3rd District Court.
