SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - University of Utah law students dealt with three major crisis going on in the world at one time on Friday.
The students in the Global Perspective and Counter Terrorism Attack course got a first hand look at dealing with crisis. Each student had a role as they dealt with a suicide bomber in Time Square, an aircraft that crashed into a harbor and exploded in Baltimore, and the potential start to a new war between Israel and Iran.
For the students it was a lesson in making sound decisions quickly. For one student, Brian Higley, the experience was eye opening.
"It's pretty overwhelming thus far, even preparing for this I have a new respect for the decision makers that we have, and the things that they go through on a day to day basis," he said.
The Unified Police Chief, Salt Lake City Detectives, US Attorneys, and others helped with the drill.
It was a one of a kind project that doesn't happen at any other school in the U.S.
