SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - If you're looking for more ways to the kids off the couch and get 'em outside ABC 4 has something that may help. The get outdoors expo is going on this weekend in Sandy, it's got great suggestions of outdoor fun for the whole family.
The Get Outdoors Expo is a one-stop-shop to show people all the fun human powered activities that Utah's outdoors has to offer, see athletes compete, watch some amazing stunts, and pick up the latest outdoor gear. The expo is showcasing sports like rock climbing, kayaking, cycling, running, camping, hiking, etc.
Jeremy Vanschoonhoven from America's Got Talent and five time national champion stunt cyclist will be performing during expo. The front climbing gym will be hosting a semi-professional bouldering competition. The 5050 BMX race team, full of X Games and Dew Tour athletes, will show gravity defying stunts on the freestyle ramps. The Gibbons Slackline Pro Team will be performing stunts and give expo goers a chance to try the slackline for themselves.
Over the 120 vendors will on site, including an exhibit showing 80 examples of the best trails in Utah.
