SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The manager of a Taylorsville shoe store has been accused of stealing nearly $65,000 in shoes that were later sold over the Internet.
Police charging documents say the 48-year-old branch manger of a Red Wing Shoe store admitted to investigators in February that he sold "many pairs of shoes" to six or seven people.
The records state those people included a father and son who resold them on the Web without knowing they were stolen.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that an investigator said bank records showed the shoe salesman deposited more than $11,000 into one account and more than $54,500 into a second account.
The suspect's name wasn't immediately available.
