I was going to make a joke about someone that walks his 'small government' talk, until I read a couple websites where the paranoids are cheering.

You are idiots who say stewart didn't do anything wrong! He did and they did find drugs...it wasn't a no knock warrant...the officers knocked and announced who they were! He hid and opened fired on them! I hope he does recover so his sorry ass can go to prison and get the death penalty!!

In all reality a man is dead a hero a man who was trying to protect the community doing his job because someone instead of seeing a doctor for his problems figured he would grow some trees,"WHICH IS AGINST THE LAW" besides he above most should know the what is wrong and what is right. He knew that he was breaking the law. Now he wants to blame he was suffering from PTSD for breaking the law and killing someone. sorry people it's no excuse my father served in the war and u don't see him trying to grow cook or even do drugs."trust that GOD will be the judge and handle it. R.I.P

A badge does not give someone the right to break into your house with large armed numbers and shoot at you in your own home. That being said it would of been better if no one had died but a officer died and overall it was not the fault of the homeowner. If I herd someone breaking into my house in the middle of the night I would of unloaded 6+1 rounds of #00 buckshot through my door frame then mag dumped 150 rounds of 5.56 NATO rounds at anything that moved. I hope the home owner recovers.

You break into a home with guns, expect that US Citizens will defend themselves. Those domestic terrorists who broke into his home should be charged with home invasion robbery plus the use of firearms during a violent crime and attempted murder.

Maybe it's pass due time to end this senseless WAR ON DRUGS. Far too many innocent casualties and collateral damage have gotten caught in the crossfire. Far too many innocent lives have been lost and families forever changed. From young children, to 90+ year old women, to the family pet and even cops have been killed, their families left without a mother, father, brother, sister. Yet, the irony of it all is the very people charged with arresting and keeping the drugs out of the hands of citizens have the highest rates of substance abuse, drug abuse and alcoholism within their own ranks. That's the irony and sad joke in all this. Yet any lives continue to be lost. For what? There have been more innocent people and family pets killed or seriously injured in drug raids and the drug war than what drugs themselves have done to the population. But it's all about the money. The federal dollars. Most local LE look more like an invading/occupyin force rather than peace officers keep the peace. They have weapons and other equipment normally reserved for military operations against enemies of America. When did American citizens become the enemy?

The suspect in this case is an Army vet suffering from PTSD who works the grave yard shift and was sleeping when the officers broke in. It also appears the officers may have inadvertantly fired on each other. Still no drugs found in the house. Tell me again how this guy was breaking the law. The police went into his house looking for a fight and apparently screwed it up. If they wanted to arrest him they could of arrested him when he came out to go to work. SAD..

It's about time citizens started defending themselves. No knock warrants are a recipe for death. When you kick in someones door in the middle of the night expect a response!

Rest in Peace my brother! We will keep up the fight and see you soon. When I start my tour of duty God, Wherever crime may be, as I walk the darkened streets alone, Let me be close to thee. Please give me understanding with both the young and old. Let me listen with attention until their story's told. Let me never make a judgment in a rash or callous way, but let me hold my patience let each man have his say. Lord if some dark and dreary night, I must give my life, Lord, with your everlasting love protect my children and my wife.
