OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Aggie Foster was working at Ogden Regional Hospital on Thursday delivering a baby when she learned her "baby" had been shot in Texas.
Aggie's son, 21-year-old Private First Class Joey Foster was in the middle of the Fort Hood massacre and had been shot by one of his own.
Joey told his mom the gunman stood up and shouted "God is great," in arabic and started shooting.
Aggie says Joey didn't know he was shot until about 20 minutes after he pulled others to safety.
Surprisingly, Aggie says she doesn't hate the man who tried to kill her son.
She just wishes that the military would have taken action sooner to remove Hasan before he went on the murderous rampage.
Aggie was widowed and said her boys have had some struggles but now she worries about the emotional and mental impact this will have on her son.
Joey's brother also serves in the military and is in Germany awaiting deployment to Afghanistan.
