SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - It was a bizarre morning in a Sandy City neighborhood.

Two men in a Ford Bronco were looking for a lost cat when they spotted a car coming at them.

"This lady was speeding directly toward us,” said Fred Rollins, a passenger in the Bronco. “I tried to warn my friend to get out of the way, but she seemed like she was intent on hitting us and she did."

After ramming them twice, the driver pushed their Bronco about a hundred yards before it came to a stop.

That's when the two men saw a strange sight coming out of the other car.

Rollins said, "It was really crazy and as we were getting out of the car, she got out of the car and she was naked, stark naked.”

The scene was caught on videotape by Steve Simmons, who has an elaborate surveillance system at his home.

Simmons said, “I didn't think the collision was so bad that it tore her clothes off but I was just stunned.”

Witnesses saw the woman try to get into the Bronco before leaving.  Simmons said he then approached the scene and got involved when the woman returned to her own car.

Simmons said, "She opens the passenger side and I say we got to get the keys."

Simmons said the woman looked frustrated and left her car.  He then got in his truck and followed her.

Simmons said he saw the woman approach a young girl who ran into her home.

"As soon as she ran into the house, the naked lady started pounding on her door and pounding,” Simmons said.

That's when police arrived.

"I know [the woman] has issues with us in the past on another case,” said Sergeant Victor Quezada. “It does look like she has some kind of mental issues.”

The whole morning left others scratching their heads.

"It was really crazy for that time in the morning,” said Rollins. “And I was just trying to get my cat. That's all I was trying to do."

The woman was identified as 38-year-old Rachel Joann Hansen of Midvale. She was treated at Alta View Hospital and transported to UMED hospital for further evaluation.
