SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The man who was behind the wheel in a drive by shooting that killed a seven-year-old in 2008 will now be in prison for 16 years to life.
A judge sentenced 22-year-old, Frank Benavidez as an accomplice to the murder of, then seven-year-old, Maria Menchaca.
He pleaded guilty in December to being involved in the shooting that killed Menchaca. The gunman in the case, Gabriel Alvarez has already been sentenced to life in prison.
