Lehi, Utah (ABC4 News)- Two Lehi families are grieving tonight after a young husband and wife die in a murder-suicide attempt. Detectives say 25-year-old Brad Davis shot his 23-year-old wife, Sarah, then turned the gun on himself. Neighbors heard the two gunshots Tuesday night, the couple has been estranged since after the holidays.
"Sarah Davis went to her husband's house to pick the kids up, when she got there they started arguing and then shots rang out," Lt. Darren Paul told ABC4 news. Neighbors say the couple seemed normal and just recently Brad was even seen on the lawn playing with his two young children. But police say there may have been signs, "he had just recently bought a gun and there were disturbing notes left behind with him talking about wanting to harm his wife."
The couple is survived by their two children who are currently staying with family.
