KIEV, Ukraine (ABC 4) - President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' First Presidency and Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles visited Eastern Europe this week to speak to church members in the area.
The Church leaders spoke about the building of the Kiev, Ukraine temple, which will soon be the first LDS temple in Eastern Europe.
President Uchtdorf and Elder Anderson also visited the Automated Diagnostical Center, a non-profit medical clinic that could provide modern medical diagnostic services for the low-income population, including victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
To help purchase advanced medical diagnostic equipment, the Church made a donation to the center.
