SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - When Senator Barack Obama clinched the Democratic Presidential nomination last week, he and his wife, Michelle, playfully bumped fists on stage. But now, a network news anchor has referred to the fist bump as, “a terrorist fist jab.”
At Salt Lake’s Gateway shopping area, however, no one else seemed to see it that way.
For a growing number of Utahns, the fist bump may be becoming as common as a handshake.
Especially for teenagers and kids.
The fist bump is also called “bones” by some and is now a common greeting.
As for the news anchor that used the term “terrorist fist jab,” she has now reportedly apologized for using that phrase.
