SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Comparing hotels isn't always the easiest task to do when making lodging plans. That's why travelers often turn to third-party websites that make this assignment easier with the ability to sort hotels by price, ratings, and services.
What you don't know is, you may be paying more money by booking through these websites. The taxes and surcharges that are added to your subtotal are not always given to the hotel or state government, like it should be.
