SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - An idea created by a local high school student is now spreading into other states.
Schools in Idaho are expected to start using the Buddy Box Program in classrooms this week.
The Buddy Box was created by Marisa Nielsen, a junior at Mountain Crest High School.
It is similar to a suggestion box, and it allows students to anonymously share information with school officials like problems with bullies or issues at home.
The Buddy Box Program started in just a few schools, then spread statewide.
