GRUNDY, Virginia (ABC 4 News) - Two hundred and seventy-five voices strong are echoing their love for four year-old Ethan Stacy Tuesday night.
For this coal mining town of four thousand, Ethan’s violent death so far away is something profoundly sad. Those who never met the cute little blonde boy have also been deeply affected.
Curtis Mullins, Vice President of the Grundy funeral home where Ethan’s service will take place, witnessed first hand the outreach of love and concern from countless callers.
“Never in my life have I seen so much outpouring,” says Mullins “From all fifty states. People are really showing their love for this family.”
He adds, “We’ve had calls here at the funeral home 24/7 since it happened. At first they can’t believe it happened, and second they can’t understand why a mother would allow something like this to happen to her son.”
