UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The Utah County Health Department has a new plan to cut down on the long lines people are waiting for the swine flu vaccine. Starting Monday morning Utah County health leaders will start handing out ticket vouchers.

If you want to get one of these ticket vouchers, you'll want to clear you're morning schedule. They're available beginning at 8 a.m., and once their gone, you’re out of luck.

Utah county health leaders said like many clinics offering the vaccine they've been overwhelmed by number of people showing up. Last week they ran into too many problems by opening it up without restrictions. So now they're doing it by reservation only. They think that'll help curb wait times, and reduce hassle.

Here's who can get the vouchers: pregnant women, people who live with or care for children under 6 months, health care or medical emergency workers, kids starting at 6 months to people 24 years old, and finally, adults 64 years old and under with chronic health issues.

If you're in one of people in those groups, here's how you get the vaccine voucher: go to the Utah County Health and Justice Building Monday morning at 8 a.m. It's located in Provo at 151 S. University Ave. Ste # 1100.

You can get up to six tickets for you and people in your immediate family who qualify. But here's the catch, you must redeem those vouchers for a specific time on Tuesday, Nov. 2nd.

Health leaders think if everyone has a specific time, you won't have to wait as long when you actually go to get your shot.
