CINCINNATI, OH (ABC 4 News) - A 53-year-old Ohio woman was arrested and taken to jail on Tuesday after shoveling snow in her neighbor's driveway without permission, authorities said.

Police arrived at the neighbor's home after receiving an eyewitness tip about a suspicious female working in the driveway. Susan Warren was that woman, who apparently took it upon herself to clear the neighboring driveway of snow -- never asking the owner for permission.

Warren was arrested and taken into custody, but not for shoveling snow. Officials said she had an existing outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

Officials say this isn't the first time Warren -- also known in the neighborhood as 'the Cleaning Fairy' -- has committed such an act. Two months ago she was sentenced to one year of probation for breaking into a house, cleaned it, and left a $75 cleaning bill for the owner on a napkin.

Warren said this type of behavior wasn't uncommon for her, and that she had never gotten into trouble before now.

My neighbor mowed my lawn that lies next to his. Rather than having the police come and arrest him, I thanked him for his thoughtful gesture. I'd have thanked the snow-shoveling woman for saving my poor back the trouble. Hell, I'd have given her hot cocoa and cookies. The breaking and entering incident warranted arrest, but surely not the shoveling.
