SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Authorities arrested and jailed a 27-year-old man on Wednesday after he allegedly arrived at his girlfriend's workplace and assaulted her.

Dante Satterwhite faces aggravated assault charges after police say he struck her in the face several times. The unidentified victim was eventually able to get inside the building and lock the doors.  Police say Satterwhite then broke one of the windows.

Authorities were notified but when they arrived at the woman's workplace, Satterwhite fled. Officers say he was not cooperative during his arrest.

Exactly what triggered the domestic outburst was not immediately clear. Satterwhite also faces charges of fleeing the scene of a crime and violation of a protective order.
