RIVERDALE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - High blood sugar is a probable cause for a truck smashing through sheds and trees near the Home Depo in Riverdale on Wednesday morning.
Dale Arvey's blood sugar level was 284, according to his wife.
She says he left their home Wednesday morning at 9:05 a.m. and about five minutes later he was driving in a dangerous daze, she says he doesn't remember.
Riverdale Police say they could smell alcohol on his breath. His wife admits he had a little to drink, but she says it's not the reason for the crash.
She says doctors measured his blood sugar level at the 284 level after he was taken to the hospital.
She says he doesn't remember being tazed by police. He doesn't remember much of anything.
The damage caught on YouTube is going to cost up to $10,000 to repair, but Dale's wife says he's fully insured.
