SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Just a few months ago at the New yorker private club, Governor Huntsman signed a historic new alcohol law.

That law, among many other things, did away with Utah's private club system.

Well, Wednesday, also at the New Yorker, they toasted the end of 40 years of private clubs with a special party.

(July first marked the first day of many new liquor laws)

And not far away, what is being called Utah's biggest bar crawl was also taking place.

Six buses took celebrants around the valley to 16 former private clubs.

But no more clubs isn't the only change.

Anyone who appears younger then 35 years old must now have their ID's electronically scanned.

There are tougher new DUI laws as well.
