SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Spencer Luczak is fashion forward, athletic, a devout Mormon and he’s Cosmopolitan’s Bachelor of the year for Utah.

Vote here for Spencer Luczak.

“I would say it’s a little overwhelming, but then again my life has never been normal,” Luczak said.

The 25-year-old is nicknamed “Lucky,” but he’s been unlucky in love.

“It’s one of those hard things in life that frustrates everyone to a degree,” he said.

Spencer has never had a serious girlfriend. The operations analyst loves soccer and motocross.

He graduated from Olympus High School, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Westminster and served an LDS mission in Korea.

“Being a member of the church has only accelerated my progress in life because of the core characteristics that it teaches you,” he said.

All that’s missing is a woman by his side, but Luczak admits, he’s picky.

He wants an adventurous, well-rounded woman who shares his interest in fine arts, Broadway plays and day spas.

Luczak is hoping to find the perfect woman to fit into his family.

“One day I'll meet a lucky lady and we can make a difference together I guess,” he added.

Denvanlee, of course I've been to the beach and to watch men play sports. I am not opposed to men being shirtless, when appropriate. I simply felt that it may not have been the best choice for a nice young man promoting that he is a "devout Mormon" to take of his shirt and garment top. Just wasn't necessary. JazzMan87, yes, gratuitous...really. As a returned missionary, you should be very familiar with the guidelines given to us as to how to wear our garments. If you've forgotten, talk to your bishop. Obviously Heavenly Father nor any prophet has said that men should never be seen in public without their shirt on, but they have given guidelines on how to wear our garments. This situation simply wasn't following those guidelines too well. I, of course, leave the ultimate judgment up to the ONE being who is worthy to give it. I was simply saying that this young man who is a advertising the fact that he is still a bachelor and was saying that he is interested in finding a nice young woman to marry, if he's wanting to entice a "devout Mormon" girl to contact him, he may want to consider the message he is sending by taking his shirt of for, yes, a gratuitous moment on camera. I don't normally go around "judging" others as to how they are keeping their covenants and commitments, however, I thought it was important for this young man to take a second and think about the message he's putting out. You seem like an angry guy. What's up with that? Sounds like maybe you have people in your life judging you. I think Spencer is a nice guy and I have voted for him. My concern over his message did not change my solidarity with other Utahns. If it was the production staff or the reporter who encouraged Spencer to take off his shirt for the camera, they did him a disservice.

@ginirae... Gratuitous.... Really? Heaven forbid us lds returned missionaries ever go to a public pool... When did god or a prophet say, brethren you must never be seen in public without your shirt on? I dont understand why people like you cant leave the judgement to the ONE being who is worthy to give it... The only one you need to worry about keeping their covenants is YOU. @denvanlee spence deserves your vote so thank you for not allowing the fact that he allowed himself to be filmed with his shirt off affect your vote. Cheers! @LAblues im the same way and i assure you i am not gay. A ton of guys manscape these days.

My gaydar is never wrong, and it is humming at mach 5 over this guy. The clothes, the manscaping, the lack of muscular pecs etc all point to a man who will only disappoint a girl he convinces himself he can learn to love. It's ok to be who you are Spencer.

@giniRae...have you never been to a beach or a men's athletic practice? If it was a bachelorette with her shirt off i'm sure it would be a different story. Spencer is a very down to earth guy and i've already voted for him! GO SPENCER!!!

Gratuitous video with his shirt off was completely unneccesary and causes one to question his commitment to his covenants made with the Lord in the temple, since he says he's LDS and served a mission. He seems like a nice young man. It is likely the production staff encouraged such a shot. Just not a good move to go with the image it seems he's trying to convey.
