FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a 32-year-old Utah man has died after falling while rock climbing in northern Arizona.

According to the Coconino County Sheriff's Office, Joshua Dale Riggs of Moab fell about 80 feet while climbing about 40 miles outside Flagstaff.

Authorities say they received a 911 call Monday afternoon from a woman who reported that her boyfriend had fallen and was seriously injured.

They say Riggs had died by the time rescuers reached him.

An investigation remains ongoing.
