SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) -- The swim coach at The University of Utah finds himself in hot water.

Greg Winslow is under investigation for the sexual abuse of a 15 year old girl. The abuse allegedly happened at a swim camp in Arizona.

Although the incident between Winslow and the girl allegedly took place several years ago, the University's Administration just found out Wednesday night.

University spokesman Keith Sterling said, "We were made aware of this... there are charges that are pending - not officially filed yet -- and we have suspended the coach pending further investigation."

That suspension is with pay. But if charges are filed by the prosecutor in Maricopa County, Arizona, Sterling indicated he would probably be fired.

The Ute Swim Team is currently in Seattle, Washington competing in the PAC 12 championships. Sterling said Winslow will have no role with the team at the championships.
