Unified Police: 2 dead in burned home were shot

SANDY, Utah (AP) - Police say a man and a woman found dead inside a burned home near Sandy last week had been shot to death.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal says the two people found Friday morning in a master bedroom on Ksel Drive haven't been positively identified.

Detectives say the blaze doesn't appear to be accidental.

Hoyal says the fire has made it difficult to collect and process evidence at the scene, and detectives are seeking the public's help trying to solve the case.
