SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - In an ABC 4 update, a jury found Sherman Lynch guilty after deliberating for about an hour of murder and obstruction of justice Friday.
Lynch claims he was shopping when his wife, Patricia Rothermich, was run down and killed while out walking near their home, but the jury did not buy that story. The prosecution made the case that Lynch killed Patricia and then tried to cover it up to collect life insurance money. The jury decided a guilty the verdict, guilty of murder.
The next step is sentencing. Lynch faces 15 years to life for the murder.
