MIDVALE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A triple murder investigation continued Tuesday night as Unified Police searched for two men linked to the killings.
Justin Hoyle with Unified Police said the department had received several tips, but none had panned out.
Officers are looking for David Fresques and an unknown man. The two have been named as suspects in the case and are considered armed and dangerous.
“Obviously this is a very devastating thing to have happen in our community,” Hoyle said. “We are doing everything we can right now to make sure this community is safe.”
Shots rang out at a home near 8200 South and 450 West around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Police said at least seven people were inside the home.
Two women and a man were murdered. Another woman was shot and is recovering in the hospital. A man, woman and child walked out unharmed.
As of Tuesday night, police had not released the identities of any of the victims.
Police have no clear motive for the murders and said the case could possibly be drug or gang related.
Mike Brown said his step son walked to school this morning. The boy passed the house just minutes before the murders happened.
“I am shocked that something like this happened in this area,” Mike Brown, a resident, said. “This is a nice part of Midvale.”
Other neighbors said the house sees a lot of activity with different people coming and going.
A man who wished to remain anonymous said a SWAT team raided the house in the last several weeks, but the activity continued.
If you know of David Fresques’s whereabouts or have any information linked to the triple homicide, you are urged to call Unified Police at 801-743-7000.
