SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Adoption information for poodles rescued from a Duchesne County home has been released.

16 of the 75 poodles found in a Roosevelt home are up for adoption at the Utah Animal Adoption Center.

Many of the poodles are malnourished, have never been groomed and still need to be socialized to humans.

Shelter employees are working on getting the dogs cleaned up before they're adopted out and they're reaching out to patient Utahns with loving homes.

After seeing our story that aired, ABC 4 viewer Valerie Bleyl is taking action by adopting one of the pups.  She got a sneak peak at the poodles Monday, and after the paper work is completed and the dog is vaccinated and neurtered, Bleyl will get to bring the dog home.

She says this adoptions means a lot to her because she'll be a part of giving these animals a better life, "You're contributing to helping a poor animal that may not ever have another chance."

To find out more, call the Utah Animal Adoption Center at 801-355-PETS (801-355-7387).

Also, petomundo.com is holding a 24-hour dollar-for-dollar donation match of up to $5,000 for the rescued poodles. Go to petomundo.com for more information.
