OGDEN Utah (ABC 4 News) - Thursday will be a chance to say good-bye to Emilie Parker.

She was the little girl killed Friday at Sandy Hollow Elementary in Connecticut. Her body as well as her family arrived in their hometown of Ogden Tuesday night.

Emilie will be buried Saturday in her hometown of Ogden.
The family is seeking privacy at Friday's viewing and Saturday's funeral.

That's why organizers, close friends of the Parkers put together the memorial to homor Emilie and the 19 classmates who also died.

"It will be great opportunity for the community to show their support," says Brooke Prothero. "And we're hoping those who come to wear green and white."

Green and white is the school colors of Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.

The Parkers are from Ogden and this is where her family chose to bury their first grader.

"They're doing okay," says Prothero who met with the Parkers Wednesday. "They're bolstered by many friends and family and they feel the love. And they need it. But you can see the sadness in their eyes."

The Parker's want privacy at Friday's viewing and Saturday's funeral in Ogden. And Organizers chose this school not only for their size but it's the school Emilie's parents attended.

"There's just limited space at the viewing and the funeral," says Brad Schultz. "The Parkers want that for close family and friends. This is a way for them to say thank you."

The public memorial will begin at 7 p.m. at Ben Lomond High School.
