OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Preliminary autopsy results by the Office of the State Medical Examiner show that a man found dead in an Ogden home after a shootout with police died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Aaron Matthew Collier was found dead early Sunday morning following a standoff with police who had been called to a domestic disturbance.

The Weber County Attorney's Office said in a statement Wednesday that responding officers were invited into the home, but were fired upon while inside the house. The officers returned fire and evacuated the home. A SWAT team also responded. Officers later found Collier dead inside after negotiations with him ended.

The Standard-Examiner reported Wednesday that Collier was struck once in the leg by a shot from officers, but that wound did not cause his death.
