Officer serving warrant shoots pitbull

PROVO, Utah. (ABC 4 News)- A police officer fired his weapon, not at a person, but a pitbull. The shooting happened while Provo police served a warrant at a home Monday afternoon.

This articles is very lacking. I hope the writer updates it with information on how the dog is doing and what kind of treatment the dog received and whether it will make a full recovery. I suspect that if the officer had not lost his footing the dog would have been shot to death.
