'No Child Left Behind' mandates relaxed in Utah

I believe we need to have standards that the students need to meet. I have a child with learning disabilities and these children were not taken into consideration when NCLB was put into place. It is unrealistic to expect a child with a disability to be held to the same standard. That is why I would be glad to see exceptions to those standards be made.

God forbid we should expect our students to reach certain academic standards. If they have a hard time reaching those standards, lower the standards, don't make the students work harder. This is why our country is producing idiots from our schools.
