WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) An West Valley man gave bar workers quite a shock when he stumbled into the bar with a gunshot wound pleading for help. 

Around 1 a.m. a man came into the Bout Time Bar on 3318 South and Decker Drive. He had been shot in the ankle and injured on the head. The man was also intoxicated.

An ambulance arrived and took the man to Intermountain Healthcare Center in stable condition. 

Police followed a trail of blood and discovered the man came from a nearby apartment complex at 2184 West and 3100 South. Police believe the man was at a party and got into a fight. They believe altercation had to do with drugs.

No suspects have been named and police are still investigating.
