ENOCH, Utah (AP) - Police say a 19-year-old man has non-life threatening injuries after being shot by Enoch police.

Authorities say Enoch officers responded to reports about 7:30 p.m. Sunday that an armed man was fighting with his mother.

Police say the man had two knives and confronted them when they arrived. Officers say they first used less-lethal force, but the man didn't comply with them and started advancing toward them.

Officials say they shot the suspect once in the knee.

Authorities from the Cedar City Police Department are investigating the incident.
