SALT LAKE CITY (ABC-4 Sports) - Two local skate park riders are competing this weekend as the Dew Tour makes its annual stop at Energy Solutions Arena. Tooele's Adam Dyet and West Point's Christian Sereika will skate in front of dozens of family and friends, something they rarely get to do.

Dyet turned pro almost three years ago, and is a rising star in the sport. He has competed all over the world, and took home the bronze medal at the last X-games. Dyet, who is expected to contend for the gold this weekend, is considered the king of the fast growing Utah skateboarding scene.

20-year old Christian Sereika may be following in his footsteps. Thanks to a strong performance at the last stop on the Dew tour in Boston, Sereika is now a regular member of the tour and no longer has to qualify to compete. Both skaters think Utah is quickly becoming a hotbed for action sports, and think we may see many more local riders to explode onto the national scene soon.

The Dew Tour runs through Sunday, with the skate park final set for Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
