SALT LAKE CITY (ABC-4 Sports) - In 5-A, our most valuable player is Bingham High running back Harvey Langi. Just a junior, Langi led the Miners to the 5-A championship by rushing for over 1500 yards and 21 touchdowns. Other finalists include Davis running back Tanner Hinds, Jordan quarterback Alex Hart and Beetdiggers receiver Bradon Hammond.
Our 4-A MVP is Mountain Crest quarterback Alex Kuresa. Also only a junior, Kuresa threw for 39 touchdowns and almost 3500 yards as the Mustangs made the 4-A semifinals. Other finalists include Highland running back Toi Taufa and Timpview quarterback Trevor Brown.
In 3-A, our most valuable player is Juan Diego quarterback Cody Stevenson, who threw a hail-mary on the final play of the 3-A championship to beat Hurricane. Other finalists include Stevenson's teammate, running back Tana Vea who rushed for 16 touchdowns, and Park City running back Dylan Chynoweth, who led the class with over 2200 yards and 34 touchdowns.
Our 2-A MVP goes to San Juan running back Jace Holliday, who led the Broncos to the title with almost 1300 yards rushing.
Rich High quarterback Bradley Holmes is our 1-A MVP after accounting for 31 total touchdowns in leading the Rebels to the championship.
