High School Basketball MVP's

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC-4 Sports) - Our 5A most valuable player is West High's Tyrelle Corbin. Corbin led the entire class in scoring at almost 20 points per game to go along with four assists and nearly four steals per contest. Corbin was a big reason why the Panthers went on a 17-game winning streak during the season. Other candidates for consideration were Bingham's Ben Clifford, Lone Peak freshman phenom Nick Emery and Kyle Davis from the 5A champion Alta Hawks.

In 4A, our runaway MVP is Provo High's Kyle Collinsworth. He led the entire class in scoring (24 points), rebounds (10), assists (7) and steals (4) per contest. This BYU-bound star is unquestionably the best player in the entire state. Other candidates were Mountain Crest's Matt Stewart, Bountiful's McKay LaSalle, and Eli Robison from the state champion Timpview Thunderbirds.

In 3A, Mike Brown from the state champion Wasatch Wasps earns our most valuable player award. Brown averaged 17 points per game this year, and came up huge in the 3A title game against Judge Memorial, scoring 22 of the Wasps' 45 points. Brown was a big reason why Wasatch completed a 24-1 season with a state title. Other players up for consideration were Judge's Will Whitt and Ajay Pizza from Juan Diego.

Our 2A most valuable player is Dillon Bishoff of South Sevier. Bishoff averaged 21 points per game for the 24-1 Rams. The 1A MVP is Kace Roundy from state champion Bryce Valley.
