LEHI, Utah (AP) - Gov. Gary Herbert is set to spare a turkey from its fate on someone's Thanksgiving table.

The governor is scheduled to pardon Tom the Turkey and give a holiday message Monday afternoon at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi.

The members of the Moroni Cub Scout Troop 551 are also planning to attend the pardoning ceremony. The scouts raised Tom the bird.
