ABC 4 News) – The West
Lake fire has burned over 350 acres on the Southwest shore of
Utah Lake since beginning on Saturday evening.
The Utah County fire department and the Bureau of Land Management are working together to put out the fire, which is currently 25 percent contained and expected to be fully contained Monday.
A BLM helicopter, as well as 11 smoke jumpers have also been sent to fight the fire.
An observatory and tower close to the fire were evacuated Sunday. The fire was started by target shooting.
