IRON COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) – The trooper involved in the St. George accident was heading to another fatal accident on Interstate 15 at mile marker 35 between Cedar City and St. George.

UHP says an accident was blocking some lanes on I-15 southbound around 12:25 Wednesday afternoon. They also say there was also a pretty severe snow storm in the area. That's when a semi lost control rear ending five other vehicles.

A Kia Spectra driven by 25 year old Kristen Taylor of Salt Lake County stopped behind that accident.

But a second semi lost control hitting Taylor’s car and pinning it between the two semis.
Taylor died at the scene.

Three other people were taken to the hospital.

I-15 was shut down at the site of the wreck for most of the afternoon. It is back open tonight.

Not sure why they think MP 35 is Cedar. Cedar is at MP 57 through 62. The Black Ridge is always crazy to travel through, especially in bad weather. Hopefully this wasn't some nut driving too fast and being careless.

Not sure why they think MP 35 is Cedar City. Cedar is at MP 59. This happened by the Black Ridge, which is always difficult to travel in bad weather conditions. Hopefully it wasn't because someone was going to fast and being careless.
