SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) -- Unified Police Investigators say David Fresques was the trigger man in a triple murder in Midvale.

The families of the murder victims may breathe a sigh of relief but they say there is as yet no closure.

For one thing, there can be no funerals until the bodies of their loved ones are released by the state medical examiner.

Beyond that, there's the much larger question of how to carry on.

“I think of her as a great and wonderful person,” says Matthew Montoya.

Montoya is the brother-in-law of Danielle Lucero. Lucero was just 26-years-old.

Montoya knows that Lucero had been, as he described it, a bad place. that she struggled with drugs but before she was murdered she had been moving in the right direction.

“She truly was trying to get better and do better and be better," says Montoya.

Lucero leaves behind three young children, including six-year-old Eva, who Montoya says always included her mother in her prayers.

“I lay me down to sleep. If I don't wake, My Lord my soul to take. And she would always include her mom in that. And I think that's the innocence of a child,” says Montoya.

A child who now must face life without a mother.

The other two murder victims are Omar Jarman, he was 35-years-old and 34-year-old Shontay Young.

A third woman was seriously wounded, she remains hospitalized. Her name has not been released.

Her "kids" were/are/have been in the care of a trusted family member. Yes, she was a lovely young lady who unfortunately strayed from the life she wanted and was struggling to overcome the hold it had on her and she was making progress. Obviously you have never endured the pain of watching a loved one struggle with addiction. It is a shame that when they are sick and "need" to feed the addiction, they will pull over if they have to regardless of where it is, I don't like that either but until you have experienced addiction upclose and personal, you may never understand. So you have kids "concern1"? Bet you'd be singing a song of a different tune if/when one of your precious children takes a wrong turn in life! Before you wish her "good riddance", remember that just like your own kids, she has a mom who loves her, a dad, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins and sadly 3 of her own children who will forever miss her and may never recover from her murder. Let's hope you don't eat your own words some day and if (God forbid) one or more of your own kids fall prey to addiction, I hope you remember how you spoke today as if her life had no regard, as if your children are above the evil spirit of addiction. Danielle is my niece and like any family should, we love her unconditionally. What will you do? Eat crow?

Well yeah Im sure she was a lovely young lady but heres my question. Where was her kids? This person that shot her everyone is saying,"We need people like him off the streets". Just like him she is not a bad canidate for that as well. How do you feel about having a heroin addict in your neighborhood sitting in a car doing drugs? I wouldnt want her in mine where my kids play thats for sure. Many of you may not agree with me but say good ridance to the shotter and her as well.
