Evacuations ordered on the Seeley Fire

CARBON COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Fire officials in Emery and Carbon Counties are evacuating the town of Scofield, as well as the areas of Hiawatha, Wattis and Clear Creek up Huntington Canyon due to the looming threat of the Seeley fire. 

The Seeley fire was started by dry lightning and has burned more then 19,000.

Campers and fishing enthusiasts along Scofield Reservoir, attendees of a Boy Scouts camp have also been ordered to evacuate.

Overnight, the fire has crossed from Emery to Carbon County.

ABC 4 is collecting more information and will bring you the very latest as soon as the information becomes available.

it is so devastating..the very mountains we enjoy and have our coal mines in are being destroyed.I am a single mother in emery county and have a job on consumers road. i pray we can get these fires out before more damage is done.God bless our fire fighters and our coal miners!
