OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) A wild grass fire started Sunday afternoon at the mouth of Ogden Canyon. Crews from Ogden City, Weber County and Forest Service are combating the 35 to 40 acre fire on the hillside near 12th Street. Firefighters are put on hold for the night due to darkness and the dangers of moving crews around the mountain side. The fire is being watched by crews and efforts will resume in the morning.
Firefighters said the fire is not threatening any buildings and no injuries have been reported. The exact cause is unknown, but it appears to be man-made. According to a witness, there were two juveniles seen running away from the area toward the neighborhood to the west of the fire area.
