Cherry Nut Bars

1 ¼ cups sifted cake flour
½ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
¾ cup sugar
½ cup chopped maraschino cherries
½ cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder; set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs then gradually beat in the sugar. Add the cherries and pecans. Add the flour mixture and stir until well mixed. Spread into greased 8x8-inch pan and bake for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Makes 8 large bars.
