News Item:

Jailed polygamist prophet Warren Jeffs decrees that only 15 men among the thousands in the FLDS are allowed to have sex. 15 men alone are to father all children that will be born in his group from now on. All other men are to abstain. Women too -- until they're called by one of the 15.

Sexual Bait 'n Switch:

You want to know what's really, really sick about all this?

Before Warren announced his Super Sperm Donors, I am told his top leaders were pulling a sexual bait and switch.

Here's how it worked:  When Warren first ordered all sex to cease, husbands and wives who wanted more children had to apply for permission. If approved, my sources tell me they would be instructed that sex was an "ordinance" that could only take place in certain locations and with witnesses.

It was the same pattern Warren established before his arrest when he was marrying underage girls and then bedding them in the FLDS temple in Eldorado, Texas.

Anyway, if the couple agreed, they were told when and where.

That was the bait, my sources say the switch happened when the couple showed up at the appointed time and place. Only then were they told, "Sorry, but you're not to be the father, husband. This man here will be fathering a child with your wife. You are to stand as a witness."

"Sick" doesn't begin to describe how I feel about that.

If only this kind of insanity could be linked strongly enough with some law(s)protecting underage people, that a mass rescue effort could be undertaken- to remove ALL flds age 18 and under from their homes and fenced compounds once and for all. Plus offer refuge to any over age 19 that wish to leave. This group has had horrific practices long enough. The children should never have been returned to yfz ranch after the April 2008 rescue. The evidence now shows that numerous practices which threaten youth are in play at all times with this group. They lie continually to outsiders and this results in wrong decisions by our courts in dealing with them. I have said it before, and I will say it agin. I wish ALL adult flds over the age of 20 could be incarcerated. Every last one of them. Because that is the only way to stop their madness. They have gotten away with rape and many other forms of abuse within their enclaves for decades. They often harass non-flds who live in their home area of UT/AZ border towns. Now hundreds of women and girls will submit to sex with assigned men while their husbands have to watch, and supposedly support the babies which result. This is total madness and I wish to God our country could do something about these people once and for all. They are never going to stop causing serious problems wherever they go.

Again, Brent, you slam Jeffs for similar, if not the same things, that Joseph Smith, Jr., did: Polyandry. Zina Huntington Jacobs (20 yrs old) married Joseph Smith, Jr., in October 1841 while she was ALREADY married to Henry Jacobs. Can you explain that? And, there are at least 10 other documented times when Joseph married another man's wife. Brent, you should really read LDS Church History before you blog anything else about Jeffs. You sound intolerant and ignorant to very important parts of our own church's history when you write such things.

Not one woman ever refused? Is religion the "opiate" of these people? Apparently so! (Quotation attributable to Karl Marx....) Freedom of religion has it's legal - and other - limits - just like every constitutional "freedom." It's high time these sick practices are ended.

Brent is my new hero, I've been waiting for a long time for someone to step up and tell it like it is, besides the former FLDS, no one seems to be doing anything or just give lip service. It's been sickening to watch for years this "American Taliban", as Brent put it and is spot on! As Utah and the nation ignored it for so long, until now, hopefully. I loved what Brent said at the end of last nights broadcast, I wish I'd known, I would have taped it. I'd love to see the newscast again, over and over, so I could hear the words spoken that have been so unspoken for all these years. For those that missed it, Brent spoke out that Utah's law enforcement watched it along and didn't do anything. Thank you, thank you, it was so awesome to hear someone finally say what I've been thinking for so long.
