SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - President Barack Obama won re-election to serve a second term in the race for the White House over Governor Mitt Romney on Tuesday.
Obama won several battleground states thought to be in play for GOP nominee Mitt Romney, including Ohio, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Iowa, Colorado and Nevada.
Obama also won two states thought to be leaning toward Romney: Florida and Virginia.
The final projected electoral delegate count was 332 for Obama and 206 for Romney.
Obama also led in the popular vote by a one percent margin.
In Utah, Romney won by a 73 to 25 percent margin.
Mitt Romney delivered his concession speech from Boston, congratulating the president on his victory.
Obama later delivered his victory speech from Chicago before a cheering throng of his supporters.
