CEDAR CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - An Iron County attorney has been arrested for allegedly spending settlement money intended for families whose relatives were killed in a Moab plane crash.

The crash claimed the lives of ten people in August of 2008 near Moab. The people were mostly medical workers visiting Moab from the Cedar City area to set up a skin clinic.

Matthew T. Graff, 38, an Iron County attorney representing two of the surviving families was recently arrested at the Salt Lake City International Airport after reports surfaced that he had not turned over settlement money to the families.

Graff was charged with two counts of Unlawful Dealing of Property by a Fiduciary, according to the Iron County Attorney's office.  He is being held on $50,000 bail.

According to court documents, Graff deposited settlement funds in his private bank account.  He then spent or moved the money elsewhere.

The total amount he allegedly howes Matthew Tillery and Easton Vigil, whose wives died in the crash, wasn't available at the time.
