This 54-year-old tradition offers the finest rodeo around and family-friendly fun!
The 2008 Western Stampede / PRCA  Rodeo and Celebration rides into town July 3rd - 5th.  The rodeo has been thrilling spectators since 1954 and just keeps on getting better. The rodeo and celebration take place in Veterans Memorial Park West Jordan. 

And get ready for three nights of PRCA action at the Western Stampede Rodeo! Come check out the fun at the West Jordan Arena. Gates open for pre-rodeo fun – ride the hide and other entertainment – at 7 p.m. with the rodeo starting at 8 p.m.

Thursday, July 3

The fun starts at 4 p.m. with food, games, clowns, stage entertainment and more. “Back to the Future” screens at about 8:40 p.m. on a giant inflatable screen and is followed by fireworks.
July 3 is “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night at the PRCA rodeo, where cowboys and spectators alike put on their pink duds in support of breast cancer awareness. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It’s also Family Night where all grandstand seats are just $7.

Friday, July 4

Start your Independence Day off with a traditional parade! The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs down Redwood Road from 7000 South to City Hall, 8000 S. Redwood Rd. Family fun begins at Veterans Memorial Park at 11 a.m. with craft booths, food, inflatable rides, games, arts and crafts, guitar hero contests, and a variety of stage performances.

The rodeo serves up more thrills and spills starting with pre-rodeo at 7 p.m.
The evening concludes with an 8:40 showing of “Surf’s Up” followed by a Grand Fireworks Finale at about 10:20 p.m.

Saturday, July 5

Come back to Veterans Memorial Park for more fun starting at 11 a.m. Activities include games, marketplace, entertainment, food, guitar hero contests and more. “Secondhand Lions” screens at 8:40 p.m. and is followed by fireworks.
The rodeo is back in action beginning with pre-rodeo at 7 p.m.
