The major types of eye products include eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, and eyebrow products. Eye shadows may come in the form of powders, creams, or shadow pencils. The pigment itself may be matte, or have some degree of shimmer or frost. Powder shadows tend to last longer and are good for those with oily skin. Creams glide on easily and can be nice for those with dry or aging skin. If your eyes protrude or are puffy, stick to matte shadows. Lighter colors bring the eyes forward, whereas darker colors make the eyes recede, and so are best suited in the crease. Eyeliner defines the eyes and can help you look alert. Some are liquids that are applied with a brush, but eye pencils usually give more control. You can also use a dark shadow and a tiny brush to line the eyes. For a softer look, gently blend your eyeliner with your finger or a cotton swab. Mascara is another way to emphasize your eyes. Natural shades from dark brown to black are best. Finish off your eye makeup by giving attention to the brows. Fill in any bare spots with a matching pencil, and groom brows into place with a dab of brow or hair gel and a small brush.
