LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - James Lark completed 34 of 50 passes for 384 yards and six touchdowns, five to Cody Hoffman, as BYU overcame a slow start for a 50-14 victory over New Mexico State on Saturday.

After a scoreless tie at the end of the first quarter, New Mexico State (1-10) took a 7-0 lead on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Manley to Perris Scoggins with 12:55 left in the second quarter.

But BYU (7-5) came roaring back as Lark threw two scoring passes to Hoffman and one to J.D. Falslev to build a 20-7 halftime lead. Hoffman finished with 12 catches for 182 yards and Falslev had nine catches for 68 yards.

BYU sacked Manley five times. He completed just 13 of 24 passes for 158 yards and two TDs.

BYU now waits to hear its opponent in the Poinsettia Bowl December 20th in San Diego.
